Joan E. Eustis


EXETER - Joan E. Eustis, 64, of 9 Crestview Drive, died Sunday, July 6, 2003, at her home.

She was born May 28, 1939, in Manchester, the daughter of the late Victor and Ruth (Plaisted) MacKenzie.

She was a graduate of Pembroke Academy, the University of New Hampshire and received her master's degree from UNH and Salem State College.

Mrs. Eustis was the assistant principal at Exeter AREA Junior High School and had previously taught U.S. history for many years at the school.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Richard H. Eustis of Exeter; one son, Richard H. Eustis Jr. of Exeter; one daughter, Terry Eustis and her husband Martin Stollar of Exeter; three grandchildren; one brother, Douglas MacKenzie of Manchester; and one sister, Cin Marston of Calleo, Va.

She was predeceased by one brother, Richard MacKenzie.

A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Exeter Cemetery. (Please use the Linden Street entrance).
